Maintenance Program
After your initial 3 months, many patients continue on a lower maintenance dose to help sustain their results. Pricing depends on which medication and dose you're maintaining, so we'll go over exact costs with you before you continue.

Common Questions
Both are GLP-1 receptor agonists (tirzepatide also acts on GIP) that slow digestion, reduce appetite, and help regulate blood sugar. Taken as a once-weekly injection, they support gradual, sustained weight loss alongside lifestyle changes.
The most common side effects are nausea, mild digestive upset, constipation, or fatigue, especially during dose increases. These usually improve over time. Dr. Bacala will titrate your dose to minimize side effects.

Contraindications & cautions
- Do not use if you have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or MEN2.
- Do not use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
- Do not use if you've had a serious allergic reaction to semaglutide, tirzepatide, or any component.
- Not for type 1 diabetes or treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis.
- Use with caution if you have a history of pancreatitis, severe GI disease (e.g., gastroparesis), gallbladder disease, or significant renal impairment — your clinician will advise.
